Snailhollow is a place where time flows more slowly, like molasses on a spoon. The residents are in no hurry: a meeting at 10 a.m. can easily start at 4 p.m., and the mailman delivers letters a week later, and this is considered “fast.” The streets here are quiet, damp, covered with moss, and snails curl on the walls of houses - from tiny ones to ones that children ride like ponies.
Traditional Food:
"Mossy Tea – herbal tea with mint and moss (soft and sweet taste).
Slow-Baked Honey Bread – bread that is baked for 24 hours and comes out moist and sweet.
Snail Cream Stew – thick stew with vegetables and heavy cream."
Holidays:
June 1 - Slowstep Festival - "Slowstep Street hosts ""slow races"": residents compete to see who can walk the longest to the end of the street without stopping. The slowest one wins. Bakers and herbalists offer ""snail teas"" with honey and herbs. Children decorate snails with bright ribbons and organize a snail ""cart"" parade."
