Wobbleton is not just a capital - it’s the place where the fate of the entire planet is decided (and, by some strange coincidence, where coffee costs more than anywhere else). Polly lives here, along with thousands of residents who are all convinced that their street is the most important in the city.
The city is famous for its tall clock towers, bustling squares where news spreads faster than it can be printed, and endless arguments about who should be in charge of the syrup tax.
In Wobbleton, all the states meet: traders, scholars, performers, and the most stubborn seagulls flock here. They say if you spend even a week in Wobbleton, you’ll return home with a new habit, a new friend, and at least one very peculiar souvenir.
Traditional Food:
Clocktower Stew – stewed meat with vegetables, served in small pots with lids shaped like clock faces.
Seagull’s Bite Pastry – puff pastries filled with fish and lemon (seagulls are notorious for stealing them, too).
Golden Syrup Brew – coffee with thick syrup, served foamy in a goblet.
Holidays:
March 12 – The Great Wobble Day
On Seagull Square, huge wobbling structures decorated with flags and lanterns are set up. The whole capital takes part in the contest: ‘Who can stand the longest on the shaky platform while holding a mug of coffee.’ The winner earns the title of Wobble Master. Seagulls are considered full participants of the holiday: they’re given bread treats and proudly march through Pigeon Court. Locals jokingly say: ‘If we can celebrate even when everything is wobbling, then we are true citizens of Wobbleton.’
